Monday Morning Momentum: Staying Cancer Free

I have recently been on some radio shows giving interviews and speaking about “Redeem Your Health.” A common question is “Are You Cancer Free?” I think a better question is are you healthy? We all have cancer cells in our body. The key is to make sure they are NOT expressing themselves. I am thankful to be healthy, balanced and “Cancer Free.”

Here are five key steps to prevent cancer from getting out of control and to stay Cancer Free!

1. Eat a healthy, alkaline, plant-based diet.

2. Do regular blood chemistry panels to make sure you are balanced. (For example, know your levels for Blood sugar, CRP (C-Reactive Protein), Vitamin D, Cholesterol, Triglycerides). Your doctor can help you with that.

3. Remove all artificial sweeteners, colors, and additives. Especially in your child’s snack packs. Read all your labels. If you can’t pronounce it don’t buy it!

4. Move your body. Research shows that walking just 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week is the equivalent to running 20 miles a week.

5. STRESS!!! Stress is the number one factor! If we can stay out of the stressful crunch time we live in about 50 percent of the time, we will give our adrenals a break and decrease cortisol in the body which decreases inflammation in the body. All of our functions are connected! One reaction leads to another in the body. We are intricately designed by God. If you listen to His instructions, you can get through any health crisis like Cancer, Diabetes, or Heart Disease.

Remember, your BODY was MADE to HEAL! Give it what it needs and it will carry you for a long time.
