Detox Day 19: I Want CAKE!

Really? Almost done with our cleanse and my body is screaming, “I want cake!” today. Do I really need cake or just some time with Jesus? I was avoiding myself for most of the day, but I had to check in with to see what was up! Have you ever sat yourself down in a quiet place to see what it really going on? Or do you keep yourself so busy to ignore what’s really going on inside of you. I was tip toeing into some old habits. You know those days you just want to check out of your life. I had no interest in getting things done or reflecting on what is really going on.

Today, I am going to share some real truths, that I discovered. I kind of don’t like myself sometimes. Have you ever had those days where you take care of everyone else in your day, but when it comes to you, you just let yourself go. I love taking care of people! It truly is my gift and calling, but when it comes time to ME, I fall short. Anyone relate?

Ironically, tonight one of my son’s vocabulary words is Worthy, “deserving of.” We are children of the Most High God. We are royalty, so worthy of abundance and blessings beyond our imagination. Why do we get in the way of our success in health, relationships, and our finances? Not feeling worthy has shown up in my heart today. I see this pattern and I am really ready to surrender this feeling and lie. I want to recognize it when it shows up and get rid of it forever. It doesn’t serve me at all. How about you?

Then Jesus said to his disciples: Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.” Luke 12:22

Jesus wants to be with us and we need to practice being in the Peace of His Presence along with being present with ourselves.

After reading and being in His presence all the worry and worthless seeds left my heart. I was finally able to shake the emotional drive toward a craving. I am not perfect, and I do not have it all together at all! I ate a RAW Revolution bar called “Chocolate Crave” and it was delicious. Other things we can do to take care of ourselves is maybe go for a walk, be outside in nature, read, write, have a chat with a friend, and hug someone you love.

I hope this helps when you have a challenging day! I finally feel good and back on track! Thanks for lending your ear tonight…

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being with us even when we don’t want to be in our own skin. Thank you for taking away our worry and our fears. You are a God able to move mountains and heal our hearts in a moment. I lift up anyone who is struggling today or this week. Comfort them and share with them how worthy they are. How important they are to you. We are all your children and we really do matter. Help us to understand this so we can create a life and the health you have called us to enjoy. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen!

Love you my friends,

Dr. Angie
